| The number of inmates, of ages ranging from 6-60, increased from nine to about 500; now there are only 300 inmates. |
| Inmates are given food, clothes, medical aid, education and training in tailoring , book-binding and printing; Marriages of young female inmates are arranged, by the Home meeting all the expenses including gold ornaments and dress for the bride. |
| When the Home was started the Management Board was headed by the Dewan of Travancore; now the committee is headed by the District Collector of Trivandrum. |
| Government grants, interest from endowments, public contributions and donations, yield from the farm, income from the Printing and Tailoring units and the income from the cultural programme constitute the fund for the institution. |
| The salary for the staff is also met from the funds of the Home. |
